Riding A Maxxis Ignitor Tyre For The First Time

Changing the tyres on your mountain bike from ones that you are used to and have ridden for a while can be a scary process. Will the new tyres be as grippy as the ones you have been riding and will last? How will they handle when you are riding over rough terrain? These are all valid questions that you have to consider when changing your mountain bike tyres. So what tyres would I consider changing to?
After a few years of riding my mountain bike on what I consider to be OK tyres I decided that time was right to look into changing them for new ones and see if it would make a difference to my ride quality. My old tyres were beginning to look a little sorry for themselves and I knew I was pushing them to their very limits with some of the riding I was attempting. So after taking advice from a few friends who also ride mountain bikes I decided to give a set of Maxxis Ignitor tyre the pleasure of accompanying me on my rides.
Fitting a new tyres can be a bit of a pain but the Maxxis Ignitor mountain bike tyres went onto my rims with the minimal of fuss and bother, always a good start to your riding experience! After fitting the wheels to my mountain bike and inflating the Maxxis Ignitor tyres to the correct pressure I just had to take them out for a quick spin through my local woods.
After only 3 miles of riding I could feel the difference that these tyres were going to make to my riding, not only was the ride comfortable and assured but the nobbles on the tyres cleared any mud and debris effortlessly from my tyres enabling me to use so much less energy to ride. Because of this what I had initially planned to be a short ride soon turned out to a one hour blast!
Whether riding through a loose sandy area or a section of sticky mud the Maxxis Ignitor tyres made short work of anything that the trail could throw at it, in fact I found myself looking out for new sections that I could test these fantastic tyres on. I felt untouchable by my surroundings and wanted to make the most of this feeling.
So to sum up I would wholeheartedly recommend fitting the Maxxis Ignitor mountain bike tyres to your mount, it will not take long before you feel the difference and have your ride enhanced by these great pieces of nobbly rubber.
